Gaggia
Gaggia was started in 1930 by Achille Gaggia who immediately understood that the clients’ preferences were changing and that it became necessary to improve the entire coffee extraction process.
On Sept. 5, 1938, Achille filed the patent no. 365726 for “Lampo”. This disruptive mechanism used hot water pressure instead of steam and prepared a delicious espresso, characterized by a soft layer of “crema naturale”. A true revolution! That moment marked the beginning of the modern era of espresso.
It has since developed to include a bean to cup extraction solution for every household to enjoy.
